Now the area of the club with comfortable chairs and a bar, huge beamed ceilings and a 10ft fireplace. At one time many years ago would have been the hub of the house where everyone ate, possibly even slept. The cupboard on the wall was found at the top of the cellar steps and bears the initials F&J B for Francis and Jane Baildon, known as livery cupboards where the rare and expensive items of food would be stored under lock and key. The three archways are solid and are a rare examples of an Oak Screen Passageway which would originally divide the main hall body from the solar wing.
A very comfortable place to sit and chat, listen to the music nights or join in the Quiz nights.
